Hello! My name is Sara and I am so excited to be a part of the Rock Steady Boxing family. A little bit about myself, I am the mother of 3 kids and have a wonderful husband, Bill. I worked in the medical field for 10+ years before starting my journey at Western Racquet & Fitness Club. I started as an active member, taking all sorts of Group Fitness Classes. In 2018, I became a Group Fitness Instructor for Western!I began as a volunteer with Rock Steady Boxing shortly after the program launched. I remember leaving after my first day volunteering and saying one day I will be a Rock Steady Boxing Coach, which came true in 2020. Each and every person in the program has a piece of my heart, and I am here to fight with you against Parkinson’s. My goal is to give you endless support and love, (along with some kick butt workouts) as we fight against PD together!

Hello! Coach Kari here! I have been in the fitness Industry for close to 19 years. But it wasn't always my full time career. I spent about 13 years of that 19 working as a Corporal in the Jail, using Fitness as a part time job for a release of the daily stress. In 2010, I took a leap of Faith and dove into the fitness world full time. I have been running the Group Fitness Department and help with developing Programming for the club which led me to helping launch our Rock Steady Boxing in 2018. Driven by the memory of my Grandfather who had Parkinson's when I was a teenager, I knew I was in the right place to give this program my all and help people FIGHT BACK against Parkinson's regardless of their age, abilities, or stage of their progression. This program has changed my world and I plan to continue growing this program and helping delay the progression of PD, along with the help of my amazing Coaches and Volunteers. We want to help as many people living with Parksinons as we can - bringing great music, a dose of silliness, and a world of compassion to each and every class. When I’m not teaching a class, you will find me snuggled up with all of my hairless cats or volunteering at a rescue farm. I am married to a great guy, Joe, and have two amazing step daughters Vanessa and Savanna. I can’t wait to see you in class! I have a fist bump coming your way!

Hi! My name is Coach Katie and I am very passionate about making fitness FUN and FUNCTIONAL. I started my fitness journey in 2015 when I began exploring how movement and exercise could improve my life, and very soon after, made it part of my lifestyle. I began teaching Group Fitness classes at Western Racquet in 2017, and became our Corporate Wellness & Membership Director in 2019. I started out as a volunteer for our Rock Steady Boxing program when it first began, fell in love with it right away, and became a certified Rock Steady Boxing Coach in September of 2018. I know firsthand how Parkinson’s Disease can affect a person's daily life because my stepdad was diagnosed with PD and Lewy Body Dementia back in 2018. As an active class participant for several years, I was really able to witness how beneficial this program truly is to those that are fighting back every day. Outside of my various roles at Western, I am also a wife, married to my husband Brent, and a mother of two kids, Adler and Audrey. I love going on adventures, being outside, skiing and spending time with my friends and family. I am very excited to be a part of our coaching team, and look forward to seeing you in class!

My real name is Becky, but everyone calls me Beppa, which was a family nickname that stuck through the rest of my life. I am a proud great-auntie and fur baby mama. I grew up dancing and as an adult, joined group fitness classes to get movement back in my life. There is something different about the energy of working out with other people versus trying to stay motivated on my own. I loved it so much that I have been certified and teach a variety of classes at Western Racquet since 2017 starting with TRX, cycle, rowing, barre, strength and a smattering of wherever else I can help. I’m also a labor and delivery nurse on night shift. From the beginning of Rock Steady Boxing here, I couldn’t get enough of volunteering and getting to know our boxers. They are so inspiring and bring such a special light to this world. After a few years, I wanted to get more involved and became a coach in 2022. The best part of my day is getting to play and laugh and act a fool while also building their strength and confidence. There is magic in these walls and we truly are a family, here to support and lift each other up with one common purpose, to fight back against Parkinsons! Welcome!!!
