Our staff member in the spotlight this week: Group Fitness Instructor Kristin Ashley! You may know her as one of the friendly faces you helping you find your zen in the yoga studio!

Q: How long have you been teaching group fitness?
A: Four years, various locations

Q: What are your certifications or relevant education?
A: Yoga Certification

Q: What is your job outside of group fitness? (If none, just leave blank.)
A: Elementary School Principal

Q: What made you want to become a group fitness instructor?
A: Love fitness and being active for my heart, soul, mind, and spirit; enjoy the people

Q: What is your favorite class to teach?
A: Yoga

Q: What is your favorite kind of workout outside of group ex?
A: Strength and cardio

Q: Do you participate in any other fitness activities outside of Western?
A: Biking - Gravel or Mountain

Q: What’s your favorite non-fitness hobby (or hobbies)?
A: Cooking, reading, spending time with family and friends.

Q: What motivates you?
A: I enjoy being part of a team, and trying to make things kinder and better in the world (it's a bit lofty). ;)

Q: Who inspires you?
A: My faith inspires me to love God and love others.

A: Taylor Swift

A: My dear friend Kat worked at Western when it was remodeled over a decade ago - she inspired me to see the great things that Western offers and I am so happy to be part of.
