Alanna Parman

NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Alanna’s passion for fitness started around age six when she would join her mom in doing Jane Fonda workout videos in the living room. Her love for fitness only continued to grow from there: in grade school and high school, she played soccer, basketball, and ran track.

During her senior year of high school, Alanna had a medical emergency that resulted in several surgeries and her spending the entire year either in a hospital bed or in bed at home. It was during this time that she made a vow to herself that once healed, she would take the best possible care of her body to live a long, healthy life.

While in college, Alanna had a consistent workout regimen, and after she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism, Alanna fell in love with weightlifting, yoga, and Pilates while juggling her busy career as a news anchor and reporter—even getting certified as a yoga instructor.

After spending a decade in the news business and working in cities across the Midwest, Alanna decided to drop the microphone. She wanted to make her love for helping people to feel their best her career and became a certified personal trainer. She takes pride in nurturing the mind-body connection and believes that movement is medicine. She also takes pride in lifting others up when they’re feeling down and helping people build confidence.

Outside of Western, Alanna is a member of the Advisory Board for the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay and is a Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, going to sporting events, and spending time with her husband Michael, friends, and family. She loves books and always has a “current read.” She welcomes any and all book recommendations!
