Our staff member in the spotlight this week: Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Consultant Ryan Kostroski! You may know him as one of the friendly faces you see behind the trainer's desk and in the Fitness Consultation office, but did you know he’s also a Chipotle superfan?

Q: How long have you been a personal trainer?
A: 3 years

Q: What is your educational and certification background?
A: ISSA Personal trainer

Q: What made you want to become a personal trainer?
A: During my own fitness journey (post-divorce) I spent a lot of late and lonely nights in the gym. Seemed like a place people could use a hand. 

Q: What is your favorite kind of workout?
A: Arm day and running 

Q: Do you participate in any other fitness activities outside of Western?
A: Basketball league

Q: What’s your favorite non-fitness hobby (or hobbies)?
A: Poker 

Q: What motivates you?
A: Being in better shape than people half my age 🙂

Q: What’s your favorite song to work out to?
A: “Over” by Drake, “Til I Collapse” by Eminem

Q: If you could train any celebrity, who would you pick?
A: Nick Wright 

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or any words of wisdom you can share?
A: Gentlemen, I don't care if it's a first date or your wife of 40 years. Women love it when you put forth effort and plan something fun. 

Q: Where is the farthest you’ve ever traveled?
A: Costa Rica

A: Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Up in Smoke Tour

A: Chips and salsa

A: My teammates and clients

A: My core strength 😅

A: Sports reporter
